Tonight will go down as a memory that could not be forgotten soon enough for Dele Alli after the former Tottenham and England star was sent off in his debut for Como.
After Cesc Fàbregas' outfit did so well to take a first-half lead at Milan courtesy of Lucas Da Cunha, the Rossoneri stormed back after the halftime interval to take a 2-1 lead through goals from Christian Pulisic and Tijjani Reijnders.
Any chance at a late comeback was ultimately scuppered in just nine minutes after Alli was introduced into the match at the 81-minute mark.
An initial yellow card for stamping on the back of Ruben Loftus-Cheek's heel was eventually upgraded to a straight red, with Alli managing just nine minutes of action after a two-year absence from professional football.
Fabregas was also given his marching orders by Matteo Marchetti after he remonstrated with the referee after the decision change, compounding the club's woes on the night.
