AC Milan led until the 93rd minute of last night’s derby against Inter but were ultimately forced to settle for a draw after Stefan De Vrij’s equaliser.
Milan went into the break a goal ahead thanks to Tijjani Reijnders’ finish from close range, but they were unable to see the lead out after waves and waves of pressure from the Nerazzurri.
Inter hit the post three times and had disallowed goals, so in the end it is a result that carries positives but also some regret for both sides.
This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport has their ratings from the game, starting with the overall performance from the team and Sergio Conceicao’s management, both of which earned a score of 6.5 out of 10.
The goalscorer Reijnders got the most praise, receiving a 7, while Samuel Chukwueze failed to make much of a positive impact off the bench and was given a 5.5.
A number of players received a passing grade of 6: Kyle Walker, Fikayo Tomori, Strahinja Pavlovic, Ismael Bennacer, Yunus Musah and Christian Pulisic, plus Alex Jimenez and Francesco Camarda off the bench.
Theo Hernandez, Rafael Leao and Tammy Abraham scored a 6.5, and finally Mike Maignan got half a point more.
The main disagreements from Corriere dello Sport were the centre-back pairing of Tomori and Pavlovic, who got a 6.5, as did Maignan.
They also gave Ismael Bennacer a 5.5, with three of the substitutes not doing enough to be graded in their eyes.
