TSG Hoffenheim have suffered a 1-0 (0-0) defeat away to St. Pauli. The home team were closer to the opening goal than TSG in a first half of few chances but the score remained goalless at the break. St. Pauli took the lead through Noah Weißhaupt in the 51st minute after a mistake by Hoffenheim in their own box. The visitors grew livelier after conceding the goal but created almost no dangerous shooting opportunities and came away with a 1-0 defeat.
Christian Ilzer made four changes to his starting line-up compared to the 1-1 draw against 1. FC Heidenheim: Kevin Akpoguma, David Jurásek, Anton Stach and Umut Tohumcu started in place of Arthur Chaves, Valentin Gendrey, Diadie Samassékou and Haris Tabaković.
