Manchester United are looking to act swiftly in the transfer window to bolster Ruben Amorim’s squad early doors.
It’s expected that Matheus Cunha’s arrival will be completed by the time the window opens on Sunday, June 1, with the Red Devils and Wolverhampton Wanderers now in full agreement over the terms of his move.
As a result, Cunha has been given the green light to travel to Manchester and undergo his medical in the coming days.

Next up for United is another Premier League-proven star in the form of Liam Delap, who’s almost nailed on to leave Ipswich Town in the coming months.
They included a £30 million release clause in his terms upon his £20m switch from Manchester City last July, which would’ve been £40m had they retained their top-flight status.
Yet, when the Tractor Boys’ relegation to the Championship was confirmed back in April, their chances of keeping hold of Delap diminished.
According to David Ornstein, INEOS chiefs have ‘held face-to-face talks’ with the player in hopes of beating the likes of Chelsea and Newcastle United to his signature.
One issue, however, is that the two sides did secure Champions League qualification on the final day of the campaign, and reports have suggested Delap is keen on plying his trade among Europe’s elite next season.
It’s thought the centre-forward wants to have made a concrete decision on his future by the time he jets off to represent England at the Under-21 Euros, which kicks off on June 11.
Delap, 22, previously earned high praise from the Premier League’s all-time top goalscorer, Alan Shearer, who said after Ipswich’s 2-2 draw with Fulham back in January (via BBC Sport): “As a centre-forward, I always said to myself that you have to be aggressive. You have to come off the pitch and ask yourself if you’ve given the centre-halves a tough afternoon.
“There is no doubt that he can say that after this game. He held the ball up, he ran in behind and when his team were under pressure he won free-kicks to ease that pressure. He was a nuisance to play against. I loved his aggression right from the off.
“He has got eight goals this season and Ipswich have only scored 20 themselves. That tells you how impressive he has been. You’ve got a really confident, young footballer who is only going to get better.
“We’re not blessed with English strikers, and there’s no doubt Thomas Tuchel will have a good look at him.”
