AC Milan and Juventus are both interested in signing academy prospect Ellis Lehane from Tottenham Hotspur, according to a report.

According to what is being reported by the Daily Mail, both Milan and Juve are keen on the 18-year-old striker, who was the subject of a bid from Lecce during the closing stages of the winter mercato which was turned down by the London club.

Lehane has netted seven goals in 14 appearances for Tottenham’s Under 18 side this season which in the process has earned him ‘admiring glances from across Europe’, including from the Italian duo clearly.

However, the London club ‘view the teenager as key to their future plans’, but it ‘remains to be seen if they can hold on to their prospect amid growing interest’. He has 18 goals in 42 overall games for Spurs at U18 level.

It is not made clear whether Lehane would be acquired for the Futuro side – who might actually be changing head coach very shortly – or if the view would be to getting him instantly involved in the first team.

As a reminder, Milan already have the 16-year-old Francesco Camarda waiting in the wings, and they invested over €30m to sign Santiago Gimenez in the winter.
