Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Matt Turner has been linked with a move to Selhurst Park but they have more candidates they are considering.

It has been suggested that they are keeping tabs on Serie A shot-stopper Silvestri for a potential swoop.

According to Sky Italia, the Eagles have hit Udinese with an enquiry for the 33-year-old custodian.

Fellow Italian top-flight side Cagliari are also interested in the experienced shot-stopper; Udinese are actively looking to move him on.

Silvestri has ample experience in the English game as he played 98 times for Leeds United between 2014 and 2017.

Now it remains to be seen if the Eagles will accelerate their interest and make an approach for Silvestri in the dying embers of the transfer window.
