Joaquin Correa and Davide Frattesi have joined the Inter Milan injury list for this week’s Coppa Italia clash with Lazio.

As the Gazzetta dello Sport highlight in today’s print edition, via FCInterNews, the injuries are starting to become a crisis for the Nerazzurri.

Inter Milan were without a few big names in yesterday’s Serie A match against Genoa.

The likes of Marcus Thuram, Carlos Augusto, and Yann Sommer were all absent.

Thuram is unlikely to return for Inter’s next match, a Coppa Italia quarterfinal against Lazio on Tuesday. And the same is probably true of Augusto.

Goalkeeper Yann Sommer, meanwhile, will be absent for a few weeks after undergoing surgery on a thumb fracture.

But things got even worse during yesterday’s match against Genoa.

Forward Joaquin Correa made a rare Serie A start yesterday. He got the nod over Mehdi Taremi and Marko Arnautovic with Thuram not available.

But Correa was only able to play the first half of yesterday’s match. He sustained a knee sprain, which will further deplete Inter’s attacking options.

Then, after the match, Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi confirmed yet another injury problem.

Midfielder Davide Frattesi had not been able to come on. This was due to a physical problem.

Inzaghi did say that he was hopeful that Frattesi could be available against Lazio this week.

However, that would look to be far from certain.

This is the point in the season when the strain of the fixture list can really be felt for Inter. And it is starting to show in the players not being available.
