The match officials for Leeds United’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Coventry City on Wednesday have been announced, with Dean Whitestone set to take charge at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
Experienced official Whitestone took charge of his first EFL fixture in 2005 and has since gone on to referee over 500 matches, 221 of which have come in the Sky Bet Championship.
The Whites have a mixed record when the Northamptonshire-based official has been involved, winning three matches and drawing four times in 11 outings.
Last time out, an enthralling seven-goal thriller in South Wales saw the Whites come out victorious 4-3 over Swansea City, thanks to Willy Gnonto’s last-gasp winner.
Whitestone has been a regular officiating matches featuring Coventry, 31 to date, which has seen the Sky Blues win 14, draw nine and lose eight.
In two encounters this campaign, however, the Midlands outfit have suffered defeats against Sheffield Wednesday and Portsmouth.
