MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Boy´s Under-15 Championship continued on Thursday with the last Group Stage matches in League A at the FCRF Federation Fields in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
Honduras and Panama claimed wins in Group A, while the United States and Saudi Arabia claimed three points each in Group B.
Ultimately, it was Mexico and Panama that claimed the top two spots in Group A, while defending champions USA and Costa Rica advanced to Semifinals from Group B.
Group A
El Salvador 0-1 Honduras
Honduras defeated El Salvador 1-nil in Group A
Elias Banegas netted the winner for Los Catrachos in the 45’, placing the ball at the left post with a right-footed finish from the center of the box.
Mexico 2-3 Panama
The second Group A match of the day saw Panama defeat Mexico 3-2.
Alfredo Maduro opened the scoring in the 4’ for Panama to pull ahead. The goal was the fifth for Panama’s captain in the tournament.
Alexander Tull in the 11’ with a first-time hit from the left end of the box, and Moreno in the 14’ with his second goal of the match and sixth of the campaign, extended Panama’s lead.
Juan Carlos Martínez Jr. in the 23’ and Da’vian Kimbrough in the 70+1’ shortened the deficit for Mexico.
Group B
United States 2-1 Canada
United States earned a 2-1 win over Canada in a North American matchup in Group B.
William Stribling scored the go-ahead goal for USA in the 5’ with a header from a tight angle.
Olatimoni Gbalajobi found the back of the net from close range in the 18’ to double the lead for The Stars and Stripes.
Alexander Romanov converted from the penalty spot in the 34’ to cut one back for Canada.
Costa Rica 0-2 Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia topped Costa Rica 2-nil in Group B.
A brace from Yazan Alabdurabalnbi, with a header in the 31’ and a free-kick goal in the 37’, guided Saudi Arabia to its first win of the tournament.
