Antonio Conte spoke from the Napoli open top bus parade for the Scudetto triumph and kept tight-lipped on his future. ‘This enthusiasm and passion is not something you can find everywhere.’
The Partenopei had won the title in 2023 under Luciano Spalletti, then finished 10th last season, but rebooted with Conte to pip Inter to the Serie A trophy by a single point.
They had the open-top bus parade through the streets of the city this afternoon, but the mood was mixed with reports the coach will walk away this summer.

“The most important thing is that we showed the fans we always wanted to give our all,” Conte told RAI 2 during live coverage of the parade.
He had started the season by using a classic Neapolitan phrase, ‘amma faticà’ – it means we’ve got to struggle through, and it immediately set the template for their campaign.
“A year has gone by since that phrase, we struggled a lot and managed to make our dream come true. Seeing all the fans in the streets celebrating the Scudetto is extraordinary, it repays us for all the sacrifices we made this year.”

If there is one thing that can convince Conte to stay at Napoli, it is the bond with the supporters, rather than President Aurelio De Laurentiis.
“It is difficult not to create a special bond with this city, it is full of passion and enthusiasm. It is a city that gives you everything, and wants a lot in return. I think we have gave them all we had and they are repaying us today with this extraordinary affection. You really need to experience it to understand what it means,” continued the coach.
“We work to do something important and give these sensations to ourselves, but above all to the fans. I am truly happy, celebrating the Scudetto at Napoli is truly something extraordinary.”
It was a head-to-head with Inter to the bitter end, pipping them to the title by a single point at the top of the table.
“The honour goes to those who won, but also to Inter, because we beat an fantastic team that had an extraordinary campaign and on Saturday has the chance to win the Champions League. This says even more about what we achieved.”
Inevitably, the final question was about whether Conte would be able to tear himself away from this atmosphere.
“This enthusiasm and passion is extraordinary and not something you can find everywhere,” concluded the coach.
