Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has named his starting line-up for the FA Cup fifth-round tie against Fulham at Old Trafford this afternoon.
The Red Devils returned to winning ways in midweek with a hard-fought 3-2 Premier League triumph over Ipswich Town. They showed plenty of resilience after Patrick Dorgu’s early sending-off.
Amorim will want more of the same against the Cottagers. He has made two changes from the league victory over the Tractor Boys.
Andre Onana continues in goal as expected. The Cameroonian star made a huge blunder on Wednesday night, but he starts with Altay Bayindir still injured.
The central defence stays the same. Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro keep their places.
Diogo Dalot continues at right wing-back, but there is an enforced change on the opposite flank. Noussair Mazraoui gets the nod with Dorgu suspended for the game.
Manuel Ugarte and Bruno Fernandes have formed a terrific partnership in the centre of the park, and there are no surprises that Amorim has stuck with the combination.
There is one change in the final third with Alejandro Garnacho dropped to the bench. He has probably been punished after heading straight through the tunnel after his 43rd-minute substitution.
Christian Eriksen will accompany Joshua Zirkzee in attacking midfield, with Rasmus Hojlund up front.
Hojlund has not scored in his previous 16 appearances for the Red Devils. Amorim has trusted him to lead the attack again. The Dane must repay the faith with a goal contribution.
Confirmed Man Utd line-up (3-4-2-1) vs Fulham: Onana; De Ligt, Maguire, Yoro; Dalot, Ugarte, Fernandes, Mazraoui; Eriksen, Zirkzee; Hojlund.
