It was added: "We need to start work and get a clear picture on the squad. If we lose players with quality, we must replace them because we want to be better next season."
Emery has been lavishing praise on Man Utd as well.
Aston Villa need a win to at least be in with a shout of finishing in the top five on Sunday.

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola is here and is speaking about his side's season as a whole.
Whilst we wait for the next lot of pressers, let's remind ourselves of some great strikes on matchweek 37.
But speaking at a press conference today, the German tactician insisted that the South American goal-getter would be in the matchday squad.
“With Joao, we had a small issue in training, a type which isn’t uncommon from time to time at all football clubs.
“We dealt with it internally and the matter is closed.
“Joao is an incredible football player, he is a match-winner for us and he is a great player and that’s why we invested in him.
“But there are principles, there are values that are non-negotiable that count for everyone. I don’t make any compromises.
“I am sure that Joao is still a young player, there is still a lot of potential where he will grow.
“I am sure that he will learn from this and come back stronger next season.
“I am really looking forward to seeing him renewed and reinvigorated at his highest peak into our team. That is all I would say to this.
"The only thing is how we dealt with it as a football club, how we dealt with it as a team."
Brighton boss Fabian Hürzeler has insisted that Joao Pedro will be available for their clash with Tottenham this weekend.
The Brazilian forward missed the win over Liverpool in midweek after a training ground incident.
The Dutchman added: "Those six weeks have been with development and results. It’s something I want to continue with the players.
“We wanted to break cycles, which we achieved, bring some positives and take them into the new season. We wanted to help Jamie (Vardy) with his closure, leaving the club in the best possible way, I was delighted with how that came to an end.
“It’s the last one this Sunday and now the focus is on that.”
On his reaction to suggestions in the media he is close to losing his job, van Nistelrooy replied: “I read them and go back to my job. That’s what I’m here for. That’s what my responsibility and drive is, to prepare the game for Sunday with the players.
“Six weeks ago I changed the narrative on the season, shaping the future, bringing in academy players. We had to because of the relegation, sadly enough."
Leicester boss Ruud van Nistelrooy has given some terse responses as he goes into the final day of the Premier League season.
In the first question, van Nistelrooy was asked what was required over the summer for the club to be competitive next season. He said: “It would be good to find out.
“It would be good to have a conversation. It would be good to come together if that’s what they want. There haven’t been any other conversations.”
That's it from Pep but up next we should have quotes from David Moyes, Marco Silva and Oliver Glasner.

"For sure there’s one left in him.
“We’d love him to be fit and available for the game. He has to be fit to give his best, though, I think that’s clear and we wouldn’t risk him being not able to deliver what he needs to do.
“He has to be free in his movement and everything because he’s that kind of player, he’s electric at his best. So let’s see.”
Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca was in attack mode earlier, calling out the club's crazy schedule this summer.
"For me, it’s not normal and it’s not correct. I can understand people think that they earn a lot of money but it’s not about money, it’s about health. It’s about protecting players. Because of the amount of games they play, I don’t think [the authorities] pay attention to that.”
