AC Milan are looking at options ahead of the summer, and they are in contact with Liverpool about one of their stars.
It has been a while since Milan poached a star from one of the best clubs in Europe, but it seems like the Rossoneri are lining up a deal for a winger who has just won the Premier League.
Previously, there had reportedly been interest in Federico Chiesa earlier this year, but his salary seemingly would be an obstacle, so the club are looking at other options, but it seems they are not looking too much further afield.
According to CM.it, the Diavolo have opened contact with the entourage of Luis Diaz about a move, given he could be on the way out of Merseyside after the announcement of Mo Salah’s contract extension last month.
Other ‘important’ Serie A clubs are also tracking the winger, but it seems the Rossoneri are the leading party at the moment, considering they want to ‘significant strengthen’ their forward department. However, they may run into a similar obstacle as they did with Chiesa.
As the report states that Diaz’s current deal sees him earn €9 million per season, which would be unattainable for Milan. So, a loan to buy agreement could be crafted, perhaps, with Liverpool ‘open’ to a deal.
