AC Milan is ready to close an agreement with Fabio Paratici, a report claims, who will be the new sporting director of the club starting from the summer.

As Sky reported and as Calciomercato.com confirm, the casting for the new sporting director has reached its conclusion. CEO Giorgio Furlani has in fact decided to focus on the former Juventus and Spurs executive, and he flew to London to speed with him and resolve the final details.

Paratici’s profile ended up at the top of the list, overtaking other candidates such as Igli Tare and above all Tony D’Amico. Despite being suspended until July 20, the Italian is considered the right man to rebuild Milan, after a very disappointing season.

On Monday, Furlani and Paratici had a long discussion in which various aspects regarding planning for the future were discussed. A meeting with Gerry Cardinale – who is also in the English capital – could take place as well.

Paratici would return to work in Italy after four years. His farewell to Juventus dates back to May 2021 having spent 11 seasons there, winning nine league titles. He is currently still serving the 30-month ban for the capital gains investigation but can work at Milan with reduced duties until then.

The same source adds that the Rossoneri from 2025-26 will certainly have a strong Italian imprint. First of all the coach, with Massimiliano Allegri, Antonio Conte and Roberto De Zerbi all in the running. Paratici had dinner with the former recently, while Contei remains a ‘complicated’ idea.

The objective is also to expand the homegrown influence within the squad, by signing players already in the Italian national team. These things will be discussed at length in time but the main concept is that Paratici has always given priority to Milan and his will should soon be satisfied.
