AC Milan have ‘never stopped following’ Brahim Diaz, according to a report, and his return could be possible but it would be reliant on one thing.
The Moroccan spent a very enjoyable three-year period at Milan, becoming a fan favourite in the process, and since Real Madrid brought him back to Spain, there have apparently been tabs kept on the player.
It is easy to see why. Now 25 years old, he still represents good value on the mercato. A tricky Trequartista who is still young enough to be moulded to the Rossoneri’s liking, and/or become profitable in years to come.
However, a return will only be possible on one condition according to a report from Calciomercato.com. Real and understood to be open to Diaz’s departure, but this requires a fee of €25 million to be paid.
In January, it is unlikely as Matteo Moretto has already suggested, but the report states that anything is possible in January, but whether that will include a possible move to the Diavolo remains to be seen.
The need for such a player could be minimised if Paulo Fonseca’s latest formational experiment goes to plan against Juventus this weekend, given he is set to revert to a three-man midfield.
