It might only be a month as a Spurs player, but Clare Hunt already feels at home with the Club.

The 25-year-old Australia international made the switch to Hotspur Way back in August, joining from French top flight side Paris Saint-Germain, where she made 22 appearances in her one-year spell in France.

Since arriving in N17, the defender featured in all but one fixture during pre-season and started in our final game against Manchester United last weekend, playing a key part in helping us preserve a clean sheet in our victory at St George’s Park.

That result brought a positive end to our pre-season programme, winning six games out of six, with focus now on this weekend’s Barclays Women’s Super League opener at home to Crystal Palace (2pm kick off) – tickets still available to buy.

This will be Clare’s first competitive appearance in our colours and her first outing in front our loyal Lilywhite fanbase, and she is ready to get started in the WSL for the first time.

“I’m loving it here at the Club, it has been so easy to settle in and just enjoying my time, but now looking forward to getting the season started,” she told SPURSPLAY after our friendly against United.

“It’s my opening game in the Women’s Super League and we’ve got quite a new team, so I’m quite excited to get started with the group and, I think, to all the fans, come down and support us. We are looking to begin with winning ways so, hopefully, we can get a result this weekend.”
