CJ Egan-Riley undergoing Marseille medical | OneFootball

As reported by RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins, CJ Egan-Riley (22) has agreed terms to join Olympique de Marseille on a free transfer. The England youth international is now undergoing his medical ahead of the move, L’Équipe understands.

RC Strasbourg Alsace looked to have been in pole position to sign Egan-Riley before Marseille pounced on the opportunity. The defender is a free agent this summer with his contract at Burnley expiring at the end of the month.

OM have now reached a full agreement with the player, who will sign a four-year deal, upon the completion of his medical at Marseille, which is currently underway. He will then fly back out to Slovakia, where he will join up with his England U21 teammates, ahead of Sunday’s game against Slovenia.

As per Hawkins, the likes of West Ham United, Crystal Palace, AC Milan, and Porto were also in for the defender, whose move to OM is now just one step away from completion.
