Chivas Femenil experienced its first Clasico de Mexico at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, California, with great support from the Chivahermanos of California. The match ended 3-4 in favor of the opponent.
For the first time, both teams faced each other in the United States and accompanied the passion of the Californian fans, especially the Rojiblanca Nation that was present in large numbers at the home of Angel City.
From now on, Chivas Femenil will break ranks, already thinking about what is to come for the Apertura 2025.
The goals- At 17', Natalia Mauleón took advantage of a loose ball in the box to open the scoring.- At 33', Irene Guerrero scored the second for the rival with a shot inside the box.- In the 37th minute, Guadalajara responded with a shot by 'Gaby' Valenzuela at the far post, after a great run by 'Caro' on the left.- Viri' tied it at 44'! The Rebaño combined down the right, Salazar won the back of the defense and sent a right-footed shot into the cage before Velasco's exit.- At 48', Mauleón once again appeared inside the box to put the Rebaño back in the lead.- What a goal by 'Viri'! At 59', she came out of her marker, entered the area and shot past Paños at the near post from a ball that went in off a 'little bell'.- Towards the end of the match, Montserrat Saldívar scored the fourth goal for the Águilas from a free kick.
The dangerous ones- At 16', Celeste Espino dived on her left side to scratch a shot by Mauleón that was heading for the back of the net.- At 36', 'Licha' Cervantes turned inside the area and fired a right-footed shot that went close to the Azulcrema goal.- At 40', 'Viri' Salazar had a chance after a good Rojiblanca combination, but his first-time shot was not powerful enough.- At 51', Viridiana's double could have come with a very tight shot at the far post that took some paint off the metal.- At 74' the 'Depredator' escaped and tried to surprise Paños at the near post from half distance, but a matter of millimeters denied Cervantes the goal.- Caro''s shot that went just wide! At 85', a left-footed free kick from the 'Comandante' flirted with the lower corner of the American goal, but Paños' glove managed to save the goal.
