Chelsea face West Ham at Stamford Bridge in just under an hour, and the teams are in!
All the talk ahead of this game has been about the transfer window – but this is a massive match. We’ve won 1 in 6 and slipped from 2nd place to 6th. A win at home, against our rivals and against our old manager, is essential.
The biggest decision is in goal – Filip Jorgensen gets his start, with Robert Sanchez dropped. That’s a huge call from Enzo Maresca.
Trevoh Chalobah is also out of the team, with Levi Colwill now partnering Tosin Adarabioyo at the back.
At full back, we’ve got our first choice pair of Marc Cucurella and Reece James – we’re really relying on them both to contribute both in attack and defence today.
The rest of the team is the most common lineup we’ve seen in recent months. Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo are the double pivot, with Cole Palmer roaming free ahead of them.
Out wide, Noni Madueke and Jadon Sancho are looking to create chances for Nicolas Jackson, who leads the line.
Here are the full team line-ups for Chelsea vs West Ham (kick off at 20:00 GMT)
This is a huge chance for Filip Jorgensen, who has played twice in the league already, but only in situations where it felt like a change to keep him happy rather than with the genuine prospect of him being first choice going forward.
Tonight, if he does well, he can seize that number one shirt for himself. Unfortunately, that’s a load of pressure on the Danish Swede, so we just have to hope that we’re able to control the game and make it easy for him.
The switch of Chalobah out for Tosin is interesting too – it remains a position in flux as Maresca figures out what he liked.
