Big test of recent progress for Blues in Premier League
Chelsea meet unbeaten Brighton in the Premier League this weekend.
It represents perhaps the biggest Enzo Maresca has had since the Blues lost to Manchester City on the opening weekend.
There is little doubt Chelsea have progressed since, however.
They haven’t lost since and while there will be tougher tests to come, a second-string side thumped Barrow 5-0 in the Carabao Cup earlier this week.
Having romped to a 3-0 win over West Ham in their last League outing, confidence should indeed be high.
Here’s everything you need to know about the game.
Chelsea vs Brighton is scheduled for a 3pm BST kick-off time on Saturday 28 September, 2024.
Stamford Bridge in London will host.
TV channel and live stream: The game will not be broadcast in the UK as it takes place during the 3pm blackout imposed across British football.
Free highlights: Match of the Day will show highlights when it airs at 10.30pm on BBC One on Saturday.
Chelsea had Malo Gusto back against Barrow in good news for Maresca, given fellow right-back Reece James is injured.

Romeo Lavia may not be ready to return but wholesale changes from midweek are expected. Nicolas Jackson, Cole Palmer, Jadon Sancho, Noni Madueke and former Brighton star Moises Caicedo are all pushing to return.
The Seagulls are without James Milner, Matt O’Riley and Solly March. Joao Pedro will miss the game after sustaining a knock during last weekend’s draw with Nottingham Forest.
It’s a big test of Chelsea’s progress, given Brighton are unbeaten thus far. A point would not be a bad result.
