Sonia Bompastor’s side clinched a domestic clean sweep with a 3-0 win over holders Manchester United at Wembley in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup final.

A brace for Sandy Baltimore and header from Catarina Macario were more than enough for the Blues, who solidly outclassed opponents United – but which of the treble-winning squad particularly shone under the arch?

Chelsea player ratings

Hannah Hampton – 7Hampton wasn’t massively tested between the sticks by an off-the-boil United attack but when called into action, was solid and made a decent case for a Euros starting berth in her final domestic game of the season.

Millie Bright – 7Kept Elisabeth Terland quiet and marshalled the back line in a typically composed manner.

Mayra Ramírez – 7 (off 62’)Considering Ramírez has struggled with injury recently, she looked a consistent threat roaming across the forward line and made the United defence’s lives difficult for her hour in the game.

Erin Cuthbert – 8 (off 90+4’)A characteristically dynamic and reliable display from the Scottish international, who was a key part of Chelsea’s creativity and stopping United building momentum in the midfield. The only blot on her record was a yellow card for bringing down Grace Clinton.

Nathalie Björn – 7Other than clearing a ball into danger that almost allowed Dominique Janssen to score for United, Björn was an equally excellent component in the back three.

Naomi Girma – 7Much like her centreback counterparts, adapted well to the slight formation shift and never looked unsettled.

Sandy Baltimore – 9 (off 90+4’)The standout performer, taking home an assist and a brace. Showed exactly why she is trusted in a variety of roles by Bompastor and showed outstanding pace, strength, technique, and composure.Niamh Charles – 7Not as much attacking licence or contribution as Bronze, but kept a handle on Celin Bizet who had been so strong throughout the rest of this competition.

Lucy Bronze – 7 (off 90+4’)Crucial in helping Chelsea cause confusion with overloads on their right flank, and should really have scored a tap-in in the first half if not for some great last-ditch defending. Loses marks for fluffing her lines on a couple of chances, but a surprise to nobody that this veteran stood up to the occasion.

Keira Walsh – 7Since joining Chelsea Walsh has at times flown under the radar, perhaps as the playmaking skills that characterised her best times with England have not been so needed. Again though the control Chelsea exercised in the midfield tells the story of how, along with her colleagues, they controlled the centre.Aggie Beever-Jones – 8 (off 75’)Let’s hope Sarina Wiegman was paying attention to the Chelsea academy graduate’s performance today. She didn’t get on the scoresheet, though she almost had a pearler with a curled shot towards the far post, but was the player United struggled to deal with the most in the first half in particular. She may not have the physicality of Ramírez, but playing off her Colombian colleague as a second striker suited her down to the ground and her tricky feet and pace created huge problems for her opponents.

Catarina Macario – 9 (on 62’)Replacing Ramírez midway through the second half, Macario was perhaps the best example of the squad depth that makes Chelsea so consistent across 90 minutes. She burst in with excellent directness, control, and pace, exposed the tiredness of United’s back line, and cleverly wriggled free to head in Chelsea’s second and put the game out of United’s reach.
