Everton have confirmed the signing of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Chelsea.
Dewsbury-Hall has signed a five-year contract with the Toffees. Standard Sport understands the deal is worth around £25million.
The midfielder only moved to Chelsea a year ago, arriving from Leicester City for a fee in the region of £30m.
The 26-year-old struggled to break into the team for Premier League games, but played a prominent role in the club’s Conference League triumph.
He becomes the Merseyside outfit’s fifth signing of the summer, following Carlos Alcaraz,Thierno Barry, Mark Travers and Adam Aznou through the entrance door at the Hill Dickenson Stadium.
He made 36 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions last term.
"I'm so, so excited to get started,” Dewsbury-Hall told Everton’s club media. “Just sitting here in the stadium, it's unbelievable.
“There's a real buzz about this. It feels right for me. Just that alone gives me the motivation and the extra determination to show everybody, to prove a point and have a really successful time here.
"Everton is one of the biggest clubs in the country, and I think that in the next couple of years, the future is going to be bright. It was an easy decision in the end to come here and play for this club.
"You look at the stadium – it's incredible. Obviously, I've played in all of the Premier League stadiums, and this is one of, if not the most impressive, so that in itself is a major, major exciting factor for wanting to join.
"The fan base is one of the most passionate in the country, so I know if we start playing well and I start showing the fans what I'm about, it's going to be a big, big bonus to help me and the team show our best. That's what I want."
To leave my old club, it would have had to have been for something special

Dewsbury-Hall revealed that it would have taken “something special” to leave Chelsea, and he namechecked David Moyes as a big reason for his choosing Everton.
"For me to leave my old club, it would have had to have been for something special, a project that I really believed in,” he continued.
“After speaking to the manager and seeing the ambitions with the new stadium and everything, it felt like the right club, it felt like the right fit for me for the next step.
"[Moyes] said he's been admiring me for a while; he loves the way I play and just explained to me what he sees me doing in my role in this team. That's what you want to hear as a player.
"I have enormous respect for him, he's a legend of the game, so it'll be a pleasure to work under him."
Moyes himself highlighted Dewsbury-Hall’s top-flight nous as a key reason for landing the former Leicester midfielder.
“We are pleased that Kiernan has chosen to join Everton,” Moyes said.
“He had other clubs interested in signing him but he was excited by the opportunity and the challenge at Everton.
“Kiernan’s quality and experience of the Premier League gives us the hope that he can adapt quickly.
“We look forward to working with him and I’m sure all Evertonians will give him the support he needs.”
