Chelsea join Fulham, Man Utd, Man City, and Forest as potential destination for midfielder | OneFootball

Chelsea are the latest club to be named as a potential destination for one midfielder this month as they scramble around at the end of the window.

The Blues are looking to do plenty of business still in this last 8 days of the transfer window, or at least they are still being linked with a lot of players and potential late deals. Whether they actually do any of that or not is another question.

We have just seen the first Chelsea ‘here we go’ of the winter window come out late last night, so maybe now this will be the start of more business being done by the club as we approach the end of the window.

It has transpired that Chelsea are now looking to potentially bring in a new midfielder in the remaining days of the January window, with injuries again to Romeo Lavia and Enzo Fernandez recently.

Lavia looks hugely injury prone anyway so it is probably wise to bring in a new midfielder, but they also have the likes of Lesley Ugochukwu and Andrey Santos out on loan that they could look to bring back as an easy option, as they did with Trevoh Chalobah recently.

Chelsea in for Luiz

The Daily Mail report that Chelsea are the latest club to ask about a loan for Douglas Luiz but Juventus want a substantial fee. A move is apparently considered unlikely at this stage, with the Blues unwilling to tie themselves to a fee or commit to an obligation to buy.

Other clubs have been linked with the former Manchester City and Aston Villa player as well, and the report goes on to say Manchester City were among Premier League clubs to have been offered Luiz this month.

Fulham, Nottingham Forest and Manchester United were also offered Luiz, but other Premier League clubs are understood to be considering a move as well.
