Chelsea capture audacious signing of Keira Walsh from Barcelona | OneFootball

Chelsea have landed the signing of Barcelona's Keira Walsh in a deal thought to be worth £800,000 plus add-ons.

The England star made the move to the Catalan city in 2022 and immediately became a vital part of their successful side, making 100 appearances and scoring six goals.

Whilst there, Walsh won the Champions League and Liga F in both 2022/23 and 2023/24.

The move comes after Arsenal failed with a £930,000 bid in the summer for the midfielder, which would've been a world-record fee at the time.

Chelsea are currently seven points clear at the summit of the WSL, are yet to lose in the league this season and have also already broken the transfer record with the capture of USWNT defender Naomi Girma.
