Charlton Athletic have announced the news that seven players will be leaving the club this summer upon the expiry of their contracts at The Valley.

The Addicks issued their 2023/2024 released list via a post on their official club website this morning.

It has been revealed that Angela Addison, Freda Ayisi, Heidi Logan, Kate Longhurst, Sian Rogers, Ella Rutherford and Poppy Soper are all moving on this summer.

Longhurst and Addison both made 20 appearances for Charlton Athletic in this season’s Barclays Women’s Championship while Ayisi was handed 19 league outings. Goalkeeper Rogers was also a regular in The Addicks side with the player having made 14 league appearances.

Attacker Rutherford has endured a difficult period in which she has battled some long-term injuries while Logan spent time out on loan in 2023/2024 and Soper wasn’t fielded by Charlton Athletic.

Speaking following today’s announcement, Charlton Athletic head coach Karen Hills said “I want to offer my thanks to the players that are leaving – Angela, Freda, Heidi, Kate, Sian, Ella and Poppy. They have all contributed a lot both on and off the pitch to our continued progression.”

Charlton Athletic have four players under contract for 2024/2025 while the South East Londoners are in contract negotiations with nine members of their squad.
