Charlotte FC will be without one of their key attacking contributors when they go for a season sweep against Atlanta United on Saturday night in Georgia.
Israeli international Liel Abada will miss out with a thigh issue, according to the MLS Player Status Report for Matchday 26.
Abada is tied for third for The Crown with five goals, and alone in third if you take penalties out of the equation. He played 80 minutes on Wednesday night to help his side to a crucial 2-1 win over D.C. United, giving Charlotte its first consecutive MLS wins since winning three in a row from April 5-19.
His absence perhaps takes on added importance with striker Patrick Agyemang's move to Derby County, which became official earlier this week. Manager Dean Smith's side may seek a replacement for Agyemang, but that won't come at least until the secondary transfer window opens later this month.
Charlotte enters the clash in ninth in the Eastern Conference, three points above the playoff line.
Hannes Wolf won't participate in New York City FC's trip to Sporting Kansas City on Saturday night because of an unspecified leg injury.
The Cityzens' co-leading scorer played 86 minutes in Wednesday's stunning 2-1 victory over Orlando City. He is tied with Alonso Martinez atop the club scoring leaderboard with nine goals after Martinez scored the winner on the counter in second-half stoppage time.
The 23-year-old Austrian's production in June and early July helped NYCFC weather an extended cold stretch from Martinez. Before Wednesday, the Costa Rican hadn't found the net since May 25, in part because of his month away to play with his national team at the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup.
French attacking midfielder David Da Costa is listed as questionable for the Portland Timbers' home clash against Minnesota United.
Da Costa was a late scratch in the Timbers' 1-0 home loss to Real Salt Lake on Wednesday night. Before that, he had scored in back-to-back matches for manager Phil Neville's squad.
His return could be critical for a side that remains without 2024 leading scorer Jonathan Rodriguez for the rest of the season, and has yet to see the return of 2025 top scorer Antony.
Veteran MLS center back Justen Glad had to depart Wednesday's second half against Portland after a nasty, inadvertent stray elbow left his forehead bloodied, but it doesn't appear to have been a serious issue.
Glad is questionable for Real Salt Lake, who will be hosting Eastern Conference and Supporters' Shield contenders FC Cincinnati. The Claret-and-Cobalt have won three and a row and are on a five-game unbeaten run.
