Morocco made a strong start in the African Nations Championship (CHAN 2024).

The "Atlas Lions" claimed a 2-0 victory over Angola in their opening Group A match, with goals from Imad Riahi (penalty) and Joaquim Balanga (own goal).

The North African side thus extends their unbeaten streak, which has been ongoing since the 2016 edition in Rwanda, specifically since their narrow defeat to Ivory Coast.

Since then, they have played 13 matches, recording 11 wins and 2 draws.

Morocco targets a third gold medal

The "Atlas Lions" seem more determined than ever to claim a third gold medal at the African Nations Championship (CHAN). As a reminder, they captured the 2018 and 2020 titles, defeating Nigeria and Mali in the respective finals.
