Tierney’s breakthrough campaign had already earned plaudits, but this was a personal milestone. Driving inside from the left, the then-teenage full-back fired low past the keeper at the near post — sparking a roar that matched the occasion.

It was the opener on a day where the champions delivered a rampant performance, with goals from Tom Rogic, Mikael Lustig, Stuart Armstrong, Patrick Roberts, Ryan Christie and debutant Jack Aitchison completing the scoreline becoming, inthe process, Celtic's youngest ever goalscorer.
