Carlo Ancelotti on Kylian Mbappe: “I only talk about the ones I coach” | OneFootball

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has refused to be drawn into talking about Kylian Mbappe, who seems all but set to join Los Blancos in the summer.

Mbappe has now already left PSG and he is currently a free agent and he will join Real Madrid soon, with the announcement regarding the move still pending but it could come soon enough. Real take on Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final this weekend in what could prove to be a historic day for Ancelotti.

The Italian, who has now become synonymous with Real Madrid, spoke to La Repubblica recently and he was asked about how he would solve the tactical dilemme once Mbappe arrives. But Ancelotti refused to talk about Mbappe and spoke only of the players he has.

He said: “I only talk about the ones I coach now who are very strong. Vinicius improves every day, Bellingham immediately understood what Real means. It is a very united group, as demonstrated by how they reacted to the serious injuries of Courtois and Militao in a few days and to the many other setbacks. We will be able to absorb the farewell of a football phenomenon like Kroos.”

Ancelotti was also further asked about whether Mbappe will play at the Olympics and he, once again, deflected the idea of the Frenchman joining – rather cleverly.

“I just think that those who go to the European Championship, Camavinga for example, then don’t go to the Games”.

The expectation is that Mbappe himself will announce his arrival at Los Blancos and it seems as if even Ancelotti is trying to keep the world’s best kept secret concealed.
