Carlo Ancelotti drops Arda Güler hint ahead of Real Madrid vs Barcelona | OneFootball

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Arda Güler could well be included in the club’s XI for their upcoming showdown with Barcelona.

Güler, for his part, is fresh off a starring showing on Sunday.

Afforded a starting berth in Real Madrid’s La Liga meeting with Celta Vigo, the Turkish international took full advantage of the opportunity, dazzling en route to a goal and an assist.

Such excellence on Güler’s part has since given rise to widespread calls for the 20-year-old to be afforded a prolonged uptick in game time moving forward.

Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle at the Santiago Bernabéu this evening, the possibility of Güler starting again in next weekend’s Clásico title decider was therefore put to boss Carlo Ancelotti.

And the Italian went on to explain:

“Arda Güler can surely play against Barcelona. He will compete to be in the XI.”
