Brazil national team head coach has this week been accused of heavy favouritism of former employers Real Madrid, over arch rivals Barcelona.

This comes owing to his selection for the upcoming September international break.

Brazil are for their part due to take to the pitch on a pair of occasions next month, first against Chile, and then Bolivia.

The fixtures are of relatively little significance in the grand scheme of things, with the Seleção having already booked their spot at next year’s World Cup.

With as much in mind, Carlo Ancelotti opted to leave a whole host of high-profile names out of his latest squad call-up.

This included Real Madrid quartet Vinícius Jr, Éder Militão, Rodrygo, and Endrick (injured).

On the other hand, the ex-Blancos headmaster did call upon a key member of Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad, in Raphinha.

And the significance of as much, it would appear, has not been at all lost in Spain…

As per a report from Diario Sport, the general sentiment appears to be that:

‘Carlo Ancelotti applied an intolerable double standard that shows his preferences for Real Madrid in his second call-up as Brazilian coach.’
