According to a report from Sacha Tavolieri, talks between Premier League side Burnley and Lazio have slowed down over French winger Loum Tchaouna (22), after Maurizio Sarri has expressed his desire to keep the player in the Italian capital. Lazio’s decision makers have been instructed to keep the winger, which has in turn slowed the negotiations for the Frenchman to move to the Premier League side. Tavolieri previously reported that the 22-year-old is keen on a move to England, and was pushing to move to the Clarets this summer. Burnley are looking to strike a permanent deal worth around €14m, with a five-year contract already on the table for the player. Although talks remain open between the two clubs, momentum has stalled slightly as Lazio weigh up their stance on the Frenchman. The France U21 international made his breakthrough for Stade Rennais before moving to Italy in 2023, representing Salernita before moving to the Italian capital to join Lazio last season. He has made 24 appearances for the Roman side this season, scoring one goal. GFFN | George Boxall
