WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Seagulls this evening.
The 22-year-old forward joined Arsenal from Swedish OBOS Damallsvenskan club BK Häcken last summer. Kafaji went on to make 19 appearances for The Gunners in all competitions last season while she celebrated winning the UEFA Women’s Champions League with the club back in May.
Kafaji has struggled for regular starts at Arsenal and her loan move to Brighton & Hove Albion should allow her to enjoy more on-field minutes.
On the international stage, Kafaji has been capped by Sweden on 12 occasions at senior level while she has scored two goals for her country.
After adding Kafaji to his squad, Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Dario Vidošić said “We are excited to welcome Rosa to the squad for the season ahead. She’s a versatile attacker who shows plenty of promise in the front-line.
“She’s a fantastic addition to the team for our new campaign and we’re excited to see her integrate within our squad and style of play.”
Kafaji is Brighton & Hove Albion’s sixth signing of the summer transfer window.
