Milan Skriniar’s future appears to be elsewhere. In the final days of the summer transfer window, the veteran defender could leave Paris Saint-Germain, and despite not fitting in at the French club, there are a few suitors for the center-back.

Manager Luis Enrique made a surprising move by leaving Skriniar, Danilo, and Nordi Mukiele out of the squad for tonight’s match against Montpellier. In PSG’s first game of the season in Le Havre, Skriniar was on the bench for the whole contest.

These decisions made by Enrique means Skriniar appears to be out of PSG’s plans and could become a significant transfer target in the final days of the window.

Calciomercato reported on Friday that a Skriniar departure from PSG in these final days of the summer window will be tricky partly because of his hefty salary, which is close to €10 million. Still, the Italian outlet notes several teams have contacted his representatives to explore a potential deal.

Teams in the Premier League and Serie A are hoping for a loan with an option to buy, if PSG helps with the salary. Juventus, Everton, and Brighton & Hove Albion are among the clubs that might check if Skriniar is available, per Calciomercato.
