Hamed Junior Traoré, the Ivorian international currently playing for Bournemouth, has caught the attention of Olympique Lyonnais. The club from Lyon made an offer, but the Cherries rejected it, as they have different plans for their talented midfielder.

Hamed Junior Traoré is a versatile attacking midfielder, capable of playing behind the striker or on the wings. He first made a name for himself at Sassuolo in Serie A, before joining Bournemouth at the start of 2023. However, he endured a challenging season, plagued by injuries and limited playing time. During the previous campaign, he enjoyed a successful loan spell at AJ Auxerre, notching up 10 goals and 2 assists in 26 Ligue 1 appearances for the French side. These impressive numbers have piqued the interest of Olympique Lyonnais. Pierre Sage, the Lyon manager, is said to have given his internal approval for the player's profile.

To avoid straining their finances in the short term, OL, according to FootMercato, proposed a loan deal with a purchase option. But Bournemouth immediately turned down the offer. The English club prefer a permanent transfer if they're to let the player leave. Local reports suggest the club is hoping to recoup between €12 and €15 million for the Ivorian midfielder.
