Transfermarkt currently confirms a Sky Germany report on an impending move of Borussia Dortmund coach Mike Tullberg. The head coach of the Dortmund reserves – who filled in as an interim head coach for the Bundesliga outfit last season – is set to be installed at a new club. The report claims that BVB will pocket a €1m transfer fee on Tullberg’s move.
Tullberg’s new club is not yet named, but the German sources note that the 39-year-old is preparing to coach a team that “has qualified for European competition“. Tullberg enjoyed solid popularity amongst the BVB faithful during his team bridging the gap between the Nuri Sahin and Niko Kovac coaching regimes. The Dane has often been linked with a move away this summer.
With the transfer fee, Dortmund have likely offset the severance payout awarded to former administrator Sven Mislintat. The matter of Mislintat’s contract termination was settled earlier this week, though it is not known how much the former Stuttgart executive received.
