Borussia Dortmund: Guirassy rules out move to Saudi Arabia

The Guinean striker denies receiving any offers from Saudi Pro League clubs

Serhou Guirassy has put an end to speculation about his future. The 29-year-old Guinean striker has officially denied persistent rumors linking him with a move to the Saudi Pro League during this summer transfer window.

In an interview with German media, the former Stuttgart frontman clarified his situation. The Guinea international expressed his surprise at how widespread these rumors had become. Guirassy insists he has never been directly approached by representatives of Saudi clubs, specifying that such negotiations typically go through his brother and his agent.

"There's often a lot of talk about a transfer to Saudi Arabia, but I haven't heard anything. People keep asking me about it, but I've never heard a thing. I don’t deal with these matters myself. If anyone calls about it, my brother and my agent handle it. It's not my problem, so I can't say for sure if there was interest. Of course, it's possible, but I'm happy here at BVB and I want to win trophies," the Guinea international assured.

These comments come as the Saudi Pro League continues to make enticing offers to lure European stars. Several media outlets had mentioned interest from Al-Hilal in the Guinean striker, but these reports have not been confirmed by the player's camp. Guirassy is thus committed to continuing with the Dortmund project after a brilliant 2024/25 season. Across 47 matches in all competitions, he scored 35 goals and provided 9 assists.
