A possible surprise reinforcement on the right flank is Nottingham Forest talent Eric da Silva Moreira, who is under contract with the Premier League side to June 2028 and was signed by Forest for just €1.5m from St. Pauli a year ago.

The 19-year-old provided one assist in nine appearances across all competitions last season.

Bologna have already signed goalkeeper Thomas Gillierin, centre-back Martin Vitik, Ciro Immobile in attack and will soon announce the purchase of Federico Bernardeschi.
