Now 18 years old, the young star decided to enjoy himself without worrying about what others might think—and that's exactly how he plans to keep moving forward, as he explained during the press conference announcing his contract extension with FC Barcelona.

"Criticism and compliments—if they don't come from my family, I don't pay attention to them. I play for Barça, and when I'm away from the Ciutat Esportiva, I just enjoy life, that's all," Lamine Yamal said on Wednesday.
