It is no secret that Barcelona are keen on shoring up their ranks in the offensive unit, with Luis Diaz emerging as a top target.

The Liverpool winger is rated highly in the Barcelona camp as they look to add more competition for the attacking trifecta of Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski.

Diaz is thought to be keen on a move to Catalonia and has recently dropped a big hint on social media.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Luis Diaz has followed the Barcelona account on Instagram.

Many believe this could be the preliminary stage of a potential move to Catalonia this summer.

Diaz has also followed Barcelona legend Lionel Messi, although his decision to follow Barça has raised more eyebrows.

This could serve as a major hint from Diaz’s end, which corroborates widespread reports of him being desperate to play for the Blaugrana.

However, Barcelona are likely to face multiple roadblocks in their bid to sign the Colombian international, especially with regard to the player’s valuation.

Liverpool won’t be too keen on offloading their star player for cheap. Barcelona, therefore, may have to break the bank if they are to get their hands on the winger.

Recent reports, though, suggest Barcelona have set a strict €60 million limit on Diaz, which is well short of what Liverpool are expecting.

As far as Barça’s coaching staff is concerned, they rate Diaz highly due to the versatility he brings to the table. He can indeed operate not only as a wide attacker but also as a centre-forward.

For now, though, Diaz is expected to relax in Barranquilla with his family for the next few days, while Barcelona will work on finding an agreement with Liverpool.
