Chelsea are Liverpool are involved in a transfer story this summer and there is even now talk of a potential bidding war.

It’s not exactly blown up with big Chelsea transfer news but this is probably because at the moment the club have been concentrating on playing in the Club World Cup.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea have three goalkeeper targets and are still in for Mike Maignan and want to sell two current GKs!

I’m fully convinced Chelsea will go for a goalkeeper still this window but it is something that will happen later on in the window. And despite the Mike Maignan thing consistently being played down now, I can still see Chelsea going back for him – as is actually reported in the story above!

There is also a situation bubbling up with Andrey Santos, who will be disappointed not to have played yet for Chelsea in the Club World Cup and will surely be weighing up his own future right now. The Santos noise is soon going to start increasing.

Chelsea need a new winger

One position that the club are looking to sign in is the winger position. They are light on the ground in that area and also, Jadon Sancho has left to go back to Manchester United.

They’ve been linked with many new names, and Malick Fofana of Lyon is one of them.

Latest on Fofana

Get Football News France are reporting Liverpool currently lead Chelsea in the race to sign Lyon’s Malick Fofana, who is valued at €50m.

However, Lyon are hoping that a bidding war could see the Belgium international’s price rise to €70m, as per journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

Chelsea will not be interested in any bidding war with Liverpool, or with anyone for that matter.
