Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano is now closing on on calling Chelsea’s second ‘here we go’ transfer deal of the current January window.
Chelsea have been very slow starters in this window other than a bunch of rumours flying around reporting what they are planning to, such as names like Alejandro Garnacho. However, in terms of actual solid movements, there has been barely nothing so far.
Yesterday though, we did here about Chelsea’s first deal agreed being reported by Romano in the shape of the first Chelsea ‘here we go’ call of the transfer window.
And now it seems like we may well be finally closing in on the second deal agreed after the latest updates from Romano on his X account last night.

According to the main man, Seire A side Lazio are now confident in securing a deal to sign Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei this window.
He posted on X late last night:
“Lazio remain confident to get Cesare Casadei deal done after bid sent two days ago, €12m plus 20% sell-on. Negotiations at final stages with Chelsea with Lazio director Fabiani on it to get it done and sealed. Fabiani’s relationship with Chelsea could prove key to proceed and get it signed.”
Sounds like this is the closest we have got now so far to seeing Casadei finally leave Chelsea after a month of rumours, negotiations, and speculating surrounding what has just been one of those transfer sagas.
We’ll see what today brings on this one, because Torino had always been heavily linked with Casadei as well so maybe they decide to try and come back in with another late offer to hijack this deal.
