Fulham have made a formal approach to Chelsea to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

Chelsea signed Dewsbury-Hall last summer from Leicester City in a deal worth £30m, and the 26-year-old played a part as the Blues qualified for the Champions League and won both the Conference League and Club World Cup.

Dewsbury-Hall made 13 Premier League appearances, with just two of those as starts, but showed himself to be a useful squad player towards the end of the season.

Fulham make formal approach for Dewsbury-Hall

Dewsbury-Hall was a prominent figure in the Conference League, making 13 appearances in the competition, including in the final, whilst he also appeared in five of Chelsea’s seven Club World Cup games.

The return of Andrey Santos and the signing of Dario Essugo, mean there’s even more competition for places in midfield, with Dewsbury-Hall arguably falling further down the pecking order.

Chelsea reportedly value Dewsbury-Hall as a squad player, but opportunities could be few and far between next season.

Fulham have interest in the midfielder, and Jacobs has now provided an update on their pursuit of the former Leicester star.

He took to X.com and said:

“Fulham have made a formal approach to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Chelsea.

“It follows an enquiry from West Ham earlier in the window.

“#CFC value Dewsbury-Hall as a squad player. Not a name they are actively looking to sell, but an is exit possible at the right price.

“Would need to be more than the £30m #CFC paid to Leicester.”

Raheem Sterling on Fulham radar

Dewsbury-Hall isn’t the only Chelsea player on Fulham’s radar, and the London club are also interested in Raheem Sterling.

Chelsea are said to want around £20m for Sterling, and the 30-year-old has also been offered to Italian Champions Napoli.

Wherever Sterling ends up he will almost certainly have to take a pay cut on his wages, which are reportedly in excess of £300,000 per week.
