Liverpool and Colombia winger Luis Diaz continues to be at the centre of a transfer battle between FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

The 28-year-old attacker is the Catalans’ top target to strengthen the left flank after they were snubbed again by Nico Williams.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich are also pushing to sign the former FC Porto star to bolster their attacking department.

Bayern Munich not giving up on Luis Diaz

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich are not giving up on their pursuit of Luis Diaz, even though they were turned down by Liverpool recently.

Indeed, as per the report, Bayern director Max Eberl called Liverpool to enquire about the Colombian international but were told that the player was not for sale.

In spite of that, the German champions are not giving up on the chase, although Eberl is assessing other options at the same time.

No agreement on personal terms

Earlier today, some reports in Germany stated that Diaz and Bayern Munich had reached an agreement over personal terms and that the winger had green-lighted a move to the Bundesliga.

However, as per the latest update from Plettenberg, all parties deny any sort of agreement at this point.

But, the Bavarian giants are in contact with the Liverpool attacker’s camp, aware that more clubs, such as Barcelona, are also interested.

The news of there being no agreement will come as a relief for Barça, but they are not prepared to match the €80 million figure needed to sign Diaz, which could pose an issue.
