Bayern Munich have just bagged their 33rd Bundesliga title, finally ending Harry Kane’s long wait for a major trophy in his senior career.
Kane and Eric Dier could’ve got their hands on winners’ medals on Saturday if Bayern had beaten RB Leipzig – though Kane wasn’t playing – but Leipzig’s Yussuf Poulsen grabbed a 94th-minute equaliser, so the celebrations were put on hold.
In the end, the Bavarians were crowned champions on Sunday when second-placed Bayer Leverkusen drew 2-2 with Freiburg, meaning they can’t catch Bayern now with only two games left.
Last season was a bit of a shocker for Bayern – no silverware and a third-place finish behind Leverkusen and surprise package Stuttgart.
But under new boss Vincent Kompany, they’ve bounced back strong in 2024/25.
They’ve been top of the table since the third matchweek, winning 23 out of 32 games, losing just twice, and banging in a league-high 93 goals.
