Bastoni and Zirkzee win Serie A Awards for 2023-24

Alessandro Bastoni has been named the best Serie A defender for 2023-24, while Joshua Zirkzee is the best U23 player.

Lega Serie A confirms on X, formerly Twitter, that both Bastoni and Zirkzee have received recognition for their impressive performances in the league this term.

The Inter centre-back has been named best Serie A defender this season and Zirkzee is the best U23 player in the league.

Bastoni and Zirkzee win Serie A Awards for 2023-24

Bastoni’s Inter won the Serie A title with five games to spare, while Zirkzee contributed to Bologna‘s epic run, which ended with their first Champions League qualification since 1964 when the tournament was called the ‘European Cup.’

Zirkzee scored 11 goals and provided five assists in 34 league games this season. He’s been injured in the last two games and will also miss the final match of the campaign against Genoa tonight.

Lega Serie A also confirmed on Friday that Simone Inzaghi had been named the best coach of the season, while Monza’s Di Gregorio was the best goalkeeper.
