Barcelona working on contract extensions for 3 players | OneFootball

The board at La Liga giants Barcelona are actively working towards tying a trio of players down to new contracts with the club.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards midfielder Frenkie de Jong, and defensive pair Jules Koundé and Eric García as the Blaugrana stars in question.

The subject of the personnel at Hansi Flick’s disposal has of course dominated the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the last 48 hours.

This comes after Deco and co. tied up a deal to add a new option to Barca’s attacking ranks.

Following a quickfire round of negotiations with Manchester United, the Spanish champions on Saturday reached an agreement to bring in Marcus Rashford on loan for the season ahead.

As alluded to above, though, the work in the Camp Nou boardroom is far from done there…

Focus will imminently shift back towards those to have spent this past season playing important roles under the watch of new boss Hansi Flick.

This comes amid confirmation on the part of Sport that:

‘The club is working to extend the contracts of Eric García, Jules Koundé, and Frenkie de Jong.’
