Barcelona’s administration has done a commendable job in strengthening the squad this summer with a tight budget in hand, and while the situation could have been better with more signings, it could well have been worse had they not taken some crucial stands.
Among the many individuals involved in the decision-making is Rafa Yuste, Barcelona’s vice president, who has himself been linked with a move away from the club this summer.
While Saudi Arabia has emerged as a promising destination for top players in recent years simply owing to the superior wages, the country is now beginning to invest in high-quality coaches and administrators to up the footballing culture as a whole.
As has been relayed in recent weeks, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr are looking to swoop the Barcelona Vice President to be the new CEO of the club, and the official is strongly considering the move.
Now, SPORT furthers that a delegation from Saudi Arabia even met Yuste earlier this week to reiterate a firm offer of interest from Al-Nassr.

The meeting lasted about an hour, and the proposal currently lies on Yuste’s table.
As it stands, he has not made a binding decision on his future and is contemplating whether or not to take the economically tempting offer that has arrived. After all, he does not earn any salary at Barcelona being a member of the board.
Talks between the Saudi-based delegation and Yuste will continue in the coming weeks, and it remains to be seen how it resolves eventually, but it is safe to say that there is a good chance he accepts the deal and makes the lucrative move to Asia.
In such a scenario, Joan Soler is a top candidate to replace him as the sporting vice president Barcelona, especially given his experience in administration and his close bond with Joan Laporta.
