Robert Lewandowski is in his third season at FC Barcelona after having arrived from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022.
The 36-year-old’s arrival was met with great excitement as well as a level of scepticism given his advancing age.
However, Lewandowski has silenced his doubters and proven to be an excellent signing for Barcelona, racking up goals in big numbers.
Lewandowski, since joining Barcelona, has netted 93 goals in 133 matches across all competition, which puts him in elite company in the club’s history.
Currently, the Poland captain sits in 22nd place on Barcelona’s all-time goal-scoring list, having surpassed Justo Tejada.
At the moment, Lewandowski is just one goal shy of the record of legendary Ronaldinho as well as Jose Mari Bakero.

This means that if Lewandowski scores against Benfica tomorrow in Barcelona’s UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second-leg tie, he will equal Ronaldinho’s goal tally for the club.
In doing so, the 36-year-old will begin closing in on other club greats such as Pedro Rodriguez (99 goals), Juan Manuel Asensi (101), and Neymar (105).
The Polish striker is just seven goals away from reaching 100 goals for Barcelona, and given his form this season, there is no doubt that he will achieve this milestone before the end of the campaign.
With his continuity for at least one more season secured, Lewandowski’s next challenge will be breaking into the club’s top ten all-time scorers.
