Athletic Club star Nico Williams is preparing to inform those in a position of power at the club of his decision to depart this summer.

That’s according to transfer insider Adrian Sanchez, who has on Wednesday provided an insight into the situation.

Wide-man Nico has of course seen his name return to the centre of the headlines across all of Spain over recent days.

This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that Barcelona have kicked back into gear their long-term pursuit of the 22-year-old.

Nico is understood to have returned to the very top of the Blaugrana’s attacker wishlist with a view to next season, with all of his age, profile and fit in Hansi Flick’s squad considered ideal.

And if the latest word stemming from the media late on Wednesday is anything to go by, then the Spanish international himself appears ready to do his part to ensure that a Camp Nou switch comes to fruition over the weeks ahead.
